This week’s YES Message will be short and sweet due to the nature of our current children. I move onto the next part of ABC – Conditions of Learning – “Behaviour”. For the most part this is not a big issue for us as our current children a generally well behaved. As normal children they will test the boundaries every now and again, but once we have reminded them of those boundaries they go back to being the well behaved children we expect. Usually they test the boundaries in the playground and sometimes when they do that it effects their behaviour and work in the classroom. Like everything else, behaviour is a learning experience, which the children need to learn from from our guidance and the expectations we set on them. When they know what the boundaries and expectations are and are encouraged by us adults to follow them, then they are focused on their job of learning.

What can you do to help at home: As I said at the start, short and sweet. Just keep reminding your children of your expectations of them at school and that you want them focused on learning so that they can secure their futures with a good education.
