Keep The Cecil Challenge Going

Just a short one today as I am away doing junior secondary PD.
As you know we start The Cecil Challenge this year with an aim to improve school attendance, promote positive behavior and have more children completing their homework/assignments. At the end of term one, most children who did not meet the challenge had not handed in completed homework/assignments. From what I’ve seen around school, nearly all children are handing in homework/assignments this term, which is a great improvement.
This term’s reward will be a pizza party for those who attend school regularly, complete homework regularly, get 50 High 5s within the term (remember this is different to the High 5s 50 club) and are not sent to me for 3 or more medium to major inappropriate incidences. At this stage I have only seen two children for medium behavior issues, so well done everyone.
What can you do to help at home? Keep encouraging your children to complete and hand in their homework/assignments. Make sure they are at school every day; remember “Every day counts”. And remind them often of your expectations about their behaviours at school.
